The evolution of man and society must not stop here. We are at a very precarious point in evolution. We are only a few decisions away from rendering to ashes all of the accomplishments of mankind. Yet we are also only decisions away from creating a society that utilizes advances in teaching, communication, and computers to make this earth a paradise. What is paradise? Some would have you believe it is here. Paradise to some is drinking beer, rooting for your favorite sport team, driving a late model pick-up truck, listening to CD's, playing a video game, watching the latest sit-com, going to the movies once in awhile, having some sex and a few vacations. But these same people rage at the injustices of society. They are frustrated at their inability to find interesting work. They worry over their next paycheck. They feel depressed. They feel betrayed. They feel like failures. They are not satisfied. They take to drugs and exasperate their problems. They feel like a pressure cooker ready to explode. Happiness requires a clean, health body and a lucid
mind. Happiness requires a good family life, with healthy, happy children, and
good healthy sex with the wife. Happiness requires harmonious relationships
with all family members.
Happiness requires being treated fairly at work, having a level playing
field and interesting challenges.
Happiness requires feeling appreciated at work. Happiness is work environments that are not
filled with backstabbing, were a person can feel more serene than
insecure. Happiness is an environment
where your income is proportionate to your effort, risk and ingenuity. Happiness is not worrying about starvation,
disease or crime. Happiness requires that the law be just, fair, and easy to
obtain. Happiness has to do with
not letting people die and starve in the world. Happiness requires a responsibility for helping your fellow man
become happier. Happiness has to do
with sufficient material assets not to be subject to stress. Happiness has to do with appreciation of
earth, beauty, music, people, harmony and accomplishments. Happiness requires an appreciation of nature
and other living forms. Happiness has
to do with a clean, healthy environment.
Happiness has to do with the spirit.
Happiness has to do with a serene and harmonious relationship with the
earth, the stars, time, your creator, and kindred spirits. |
